Postdoctoral position in peptide chemistry - Fasan group at UT Dallas

The Fasan Group in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas has one or more postdoctoral positions available for highly motivated candidates who are interested in working on projects related to the design, synthesis, evolution and characterization of macrocyclic peptides for targeting therapeutically relevant protein-protein interactions and RNA molecules. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Chemistry or related area, and demonstrated expertise and multi-year experience in peptide/peptidomimetic chemistry. Experience with in vitro and cell-based activity assays and/or biophysical methods for characterization of biomolecular interactions (e.g., SPR, ITC, fluorescence spectroscopy) is desirable, but not essential. Experience in peptide structure determination by NMR is a plus.

Effective communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills are mandatory and evidence of previous research productivity is highly desirable.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, complete CV, and contact information of three references to Prof. Rudi Fasan (rfasan@ur.rochester.edu or rudi.fasan@utdallas.edu). More information about the group and research of the Fasan lab can be found at http://chem.chem.rochester.edu/~rfgrp/index.php.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
