Types of Membership

The following types of Membership are provided:

 

  • Ordinary Members: individuals who carry out adequately documented activities in the field of peptide science. They are eligible as members of the Executive Committee and have the right to participate and to vote in the General Assembly.

    Registration fee for the year 2023: € 25.00.

  • Young Members: graduates not older than thirty-five who do not have a permanent position in universities or public or private research institutions.

    They have the same rights as Ordinary Members, but they are exempt from paying the registration fee.

  • Supporting Members: Representatives of Institutes, Organizations, public or private Associations or Companies, which intend to increase the development of the ItPS by providing means and funds for its activities. The Supporting Member is represented in the Members' Assembly by a delegate and has the same rights as an Ordinary Member, excluding the possibility of being elected for social duties.

    Registration fee (minimum) for the year 2023: € 125.00

Admission of a new member

The admission of a new Ordinary, Young or Supporting Member is unquestionably approved by the Executive Committee. The application form must be accompanied by a brief curriculum vitae certifying own's activity with a list of publications and, only in the case of the Young Member, must be countersigned by an Ordinary Member presenting it.

Membership fee

Ordinary Members are required to pay, from  January 1st to March 31 of each year, the annual membership fee for the current year, the amount of which is established in advance by the General Assembly. Supporting Members are requested to pay an amount corresponding to at least five times the annual membership fee of Ordinary Members from 1st to March 31 of each year. Young Members are exempt from paying the membership fee.
